Diary
During my time alone in Biella, the team and myself had to attend a funeral. The person who had passed away was the team manager for Biella about 6 years ago or so. It was pretty amazing to attend a funeral in another country and to watch the ceremony. The ceremony was great and I had wished I was able to understand a little more of what was said. There were a lot of people who attended and I am sure he was a very popular person who knew a lot of people in Biella. God bless him and his family.

On another note I had more visitors just recently. My parents were able to come again and do some traveling around Italy. They were able to see three games and travel to Venice, Florence, and Rome. They also traveled into France to see where my grandfather was buried after World War II. It is always nice to have some visitors to keep me company. About one week after they left, my brother, his girlfriend, my best friend and his fiancé came to visit. They were able to do a lot of traveling and were able to see two games.

This opportunity for me to play over here also provides a chance for friends and family to come and visit these countries that they may not normally visit. At the same time, it keeps me company. I really enjoy hanging out with all my friends and family and I am glad they are able to visit.

As for basketball we have been doing pretty well and have won some big games. We are trying to work towards making playoffs, but we have a very tough schedule ahead of us. We have about 8 more games, and we probably need to win at least four of them in order to make it to playoffs.
Last week my teammate Stefano Simeoli and I had to go this gym in a nearby town. We attended a fundraiser for a family who had a child with cancer. Also, the other day I had to do an interview with these students from a school near Biella. Pascal Roller, Reece Gaines, and I were each asked a few questions relating to our year here in Biella. I was glad to help out and be a part of the community. Similar to my time at UVM, it was great to provide support and encouragement to those in the community. That is one thing coach Brennan always said: no matter where you go, you should always give something to the people who helped and supported you.

That’s it for now! I will let you know a little later about playoffs or if I will be back in the States.
